This article discusses the overload of female psychologists in the light of power structures that delimit sexual identity. Statistical data from the latest Census of the Federal Council of Psychology was used alongside studies on the career feminization and the care ideal associated with clinical practice. A review of the data reveals that there is still a majority female profile, despite the increase in diversity, and highlights the precarious nature of work, low pay and exposure to occupational risks. These factors are associated with the naturalization of care as a female attribute, reinforcing structural inequalities. The study points to the need to form links between gender, care and working conditions in psychology.
